34 weeks and Baby shower

Almost 35 weeks

I can't believe I have made it to week 35!!!  I remember being at week 7, thinking it would take FOREVER to get close to the end...and here we are.  5 or so weeks left and I couldn't be more ready to meet this little girl!  Katie and Jenny threw me a baby shower on Saturday!  It was great!  It was really fun to be surrounded by friends and family who are all eagerly anticipating the arrival of the baby, just like we are!  

My belly measured at 33 cm at my 34 week appt. last week, so we are right on track.  The appt. was very uneventful-again.  At my next appt. on April 8th, they start doing cervical checks to see if I have started to dilate, etc.  I really hope the baby comes on the early side, thinking of going past my due date is really depressing!  

Yesterday, I did the first load of baby laundry!  It was a "pink" load of course, and it was fun to fold the teeny-tiny baby clothes.  I am looking forward to getting the dresser so I can continue the "nesting" process and get all her clothes organized!!!  OOOHHH, baby girl clothes are SO cute!!!  

Week 32

I have entered into the 33rd week of pregnancy and overall still feel great! :)  I am actually surprised that I haven't been feeling worse!  My only complaint as of today is the pressure I am feeling on my pelvic/pubic bones.  Its a very strange sensation-and I expect that it could get worse.  The baby continues to be very active-moving around a lot!  Her feet are positioned by my right hip-so when she moves those little toes, it actually tickles...sometimes I end up jerking my body!! I am sure I look like a total weirdo, but what can I do?!?  

I now go to the doctor every two weeks, so the next appt. is Tuesday March 24th (week 34).  It has started to dawn on my that she could be born at any time--such a strange, but very exciting, thought!

Her room is pretty much complete-Brian built a closet system into her closet, so I was able to do some "nesting" and put all the clothes and items for her away.  It's a great feeling to have her stuff all together!  Brian's dad is in the process of building a dresser for the room and the glider cushions are being re-covered.  Things are falling into place and I hope everything is perfect  and ready for her arrival!! :)

Growing feet?

I have always heard women talk about how their feet grow during pregnancy, and I am left to wonder if this will happen to me!  As of now, week 31, I have had no foot growth.  But I wonder when it happens, to the people it happens to?  My grandmother ended up with a size 11 (I think) after having all three of her children...think of how expensive it would be to have to but a whole new closet full of shoes!  UGH...

The baby's room is complete!!!

Brian finished as much of the baby's room today as he was able!  There are a few pieces of trim that are missing-and we are waiting for the re-use center to get more matching pieces to finish the job.  He worked incredibly hard and the end result is fantastic!!  Unfortunately, the colors aren't great because of lighting, but you get an idea of how good the room looks.  We also put together the crib, which turned out to be surprisingly easy and quick!  The front railing does not lower, which is kind of a bummer, but not the end of the world.  The crib looks great!!!  Week 30 is going well-I have had a good week+ of being sick.  First it was the flu-throwing up pregnant is one of the worst things I could imagine.  After the flu came the deep, painful cough!  Now the cough is almost gone and I am wondering if I have a sinus infection!!!  UGH...hopefully I will be all well soon.  Our next appt. is Monday March 9th-the 32 week appt.  From then on, we go every two weeks until 36 and then every week until the end!  I am hoping the end is somewhere around week 37 or 38, but obviously I have no control.  Enjoy the pics!!
